CLEANING THE CHURCH – Are you called to this offering?

Cleaning the church as a volunteer is an act of self-sacrifice that is performed out of love for one’s family of faith and for Christ’s church.  It looks neither for compensation nor equal sacrifice from others.  It is a quiet offering that saves the church $5-6,000 a year.   If you feel you are called to this ministry, please call Bruce Quinn (352-6040).  Many hands make light work – less often.

TEACHERS NEEDED FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL

WHO: Anyone who would like to get to know and spend time with the future leaders of our church are welcome to share their time/talents.

WHAT: Teaching Sunday mornings at 10:15 am until church is over.

WHERE: In the Sunday school rooms

HOW: Materials are current and available, some pre-planning is necessary. The junior and senior youth are willing to assist if you’d like extra help/hands.

The teacher sign up sheet is on the front table. If you feel led to teach a class it will help ensure that Sunday school stays during the worship hour. Plus, it will spread out the teaching load to make sure that everyone is able to participate in worship at least a couple times a month. Thank you for your time and help. Thank you and God Bless.

Lord’s Prayer Video/Discussion Series – Tuesdays at 11 am or 6:30 pm

Getting back-to-basics, we’re looking at the Lord’s Prayer line by line.  As the series unfolds, and a diverse panel or ordinary people facing extraordinary times reason and argue the meaning and purpose, each phrase of the perhaps “too familiar” prayer takes on radical depth and challenge.  The series continues through April 22 (no class during Holy Week).  You are invited to join us at any point in the series.

LET US PRAY

PRAYER CONCERNS

Don Frisk, Adeline Peterson, Pat Frisk, Walter & Florence Rohl, Grant Cheney, Helmer Johnson, Bill Colvin, Lee & Janet Greig, Ed Jordahl,  Paul & Mary Beers, Jim Sullivan, Jeff Smith, Todd Halls, Al Johnson, Jerry Stevens, Leroy Flickinger Jr., Bob Jenkins, Dylan Sommers; Frank Philip, Motley UMC ministries and financial health.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES:  Please fill out prayer request forms (in pews) and place in the prayer concern basket that comes to you following the offering plate.  These will be spoken by the pastor during our time of joys and concerns.  Or, you may verbally raise your prayer request during that time.  Note that an open invitation is extended to all to join the intercessory prayer circle which meets on Tuesday afternoons to pray for many people and issues.   Prayer concerns voiced in worship are lifted then as well.
